The United Nations General Assembly has adopted, by an overwhelming majority, four resolutions in favor of the question of Palestine. During its annual session on the question of Palestine and the Middle East, the General Assembly voted on the four resolutions, namely: “Peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine”, and (145) states voted in favor of the resolution to (7) against, with (9) abstentions, and the resolution entitled “special information programme on the question of Palestine of the Department of Global Communications of the Secretariat”, with (142) states voted in favor of the resolution, (8) against It, with (11) abstentions, and the resolution on “the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People,” by (91) states voted in favor of the resolution, (17) states against the resolution, and (54) abstained from voting, and the resolution entitled “Division for Palestinian Rights of the Secretariat,” 82 states voted in favor of the resolution, (25) against it, and (53) countries abstained from voting.
