Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyad al-Maliki, and his Jordanian counterpart urged their countries’ respective ambassadors to take immediate joint action to explain the developments of the situation in occupied Jerusalem, including continued Israeli attacks, in order to mobilize the broadest international support against the occupation to help put an end to Israel’s systematic violations of international human rights law (IHRL) and international humanitarian law (IHL) against Palestinians living in occupied Jerusalem. Al-Maliki called on States and the International Community to put pressure on Israel to stop these crimes and to provide all forms of protection for Palestinians living in East Jerusalem and the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
