Israeli National Security Adviser, Meir Ben-Shabbat, rejected the concerns expressed by his US counterpart regarding the violent confrontations between Israeli forces and the Palestinians in Jerusalem. Ben-Shabbat said that international intervention in the events, which were marked by violent clashes in the Old City and in other locations, only rewards people who incite violence.
