Law for Palestine in collaboration with Visualizing Palestine Launches a new Data Portal for Tracking Genocidal Incitement Against Palestinians
10 October, 2024 – For the last year, since October 7th, Law for Palestine has been documenting genocidal incitement against the Palestinian people by Israeli government officials, military personnel, and public figures. On January 4, 2024, portions of this data was published publicly for the first time. Today, Law for Palestine, in collaboration with Visualizing Palestine, is launching a new data portal designed to make these statements more accessible to researchers, legal scholars, and advocates.
To date, the database has compiled instances of genocidal rhetoric—including explicit calls for forced displacement and collective punishment—which capture the systemic and intrinsic nature of these threats. Notably, these statements are tied to Israel’s ongoing military campaign. Genocidal incitement against Palestinians

Since October 7th 2023, the Israeli government’s indiscriminate military campaign against the Palestinian people in Gaza has unleashed unprecedented death, devastation, mass starvation, as well as mass displacement, a continuum of the over 76 year long Nakba. Creating one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern history, Israel’s bombardment of residential buildings, refugee camps, hospitals, schools, universities, and civilian infrastructure necessary for sustaining life in Gaza has been relentless. This, combined with the Israeli blockade on essential humanitarian aid has paralyzed relief efforts, leaving international agencies powerless to provide humanitarian relief and prevent further suffering. Even though these assaults are most visible in Gaza, the violence inflicted by Israel on the Palestinian people extends across the Palestinian territory it occupies unlawfully, into illegally annexed East Jerusalem, and the West Bank, as well as towards Palestinian citizens of Israel.
In the West Bank including East Jerusalem, Palestinians face unprecedented and relentless violence and displacement at the hands of illegal Israeli settlers, supported by state-backed policies. Settlers, often with the active participation of Israeli soldiers, attack communities, setting homes, schools, and places of worship on fire, forcing children and their families to flee. People are left traumatized, witnessing the destruction of their homes and the killing of loved ones, while paramedics are deliberately blocked from reaching the wounded, leaving many to die without medical care.
A Tool for Accountability and Justice Genocidal incitement against Palestinians
The database on genocidal intent is a crucial resource for the international community, legal experts, human rights organizations, and policymakers. It provides an extensive, well-organized repository of evidence documenting how incitement to genocide has directly fueled Israel’s military and political strategies. The database systematically catalogs evidence of genocidal intent, including:
- Civilian Harm
- Genocidal Intent
- Forced Displacement
- Collective Punishment
- Dehumanization
- Destruction of Infrastructure
- Starvation
- Torture
Each of these themes represents clear violations of international law, including the Genocide Convention and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. By cataloging and categorising these crimes, this database supports global efforts to hold Israeli officials accountable and builds a strong foundation for legal action in international and national courts. The information compiled here can play a pivotal role in securing justice for Palestinians, ensuring that these crimes do not go unseen or unpunished.
With this new portal, users can now filter statements by theme and sector, search statements by person or keyword, click through to sources for each statement, and easily view or download the datasheet.
A Growing Crisis Demands Immediate Action
The sheer scale of civilian casualties and displacement, coupled with Israel’s systematic denial of humanitarian aid and genocidal rhetoric threatens the very survival of the Palestinian population. The severity of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza caused by Israeli actions cannot be overstated. The international community must act now to stop the violence, prevent further atrocities, and provide immediate relief to the millions of Palestinians suffering under siege, and bring an end to the unlawful Israeli occupation.
Around the world, people of conscience have risen in solidarity with Palestinians and Palestinian children. Today, more than ever, we must come together not only to bear witness to this incredible injustice but to challenge the global order that has allowed it to flourish.
