Saleh Ra’fat, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, condemned the statements made by U.S Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during his visit to Israel, in which he said that he would work to normalize relations between other Arab countries with Israel, without mentioning ending the Israeli occupation of the occupied Palestinian and Arab lands since June 1967. Ra’fat denounced Pompeo’s assertion of the United States’ commitment to ensuring the qualitative superiority of the occupying power over the countries of the region, considering the continuation of the US in arming and supporting Israel, emphasizes that it is complicit in crimes committed against the Palestinian people. Rafat called on the Arab countries not to respond to the U.S Secretary of State for normalization relations with Israel without ending the occupation of Arab and Palestinian lands.
