Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Abdulla Hamdok made clear to the US Secretary of State on his quick visit to Sudan about the US request to normalize relations with Israel, that the transitional government does not have the mandate to decide on normalization ties with Israel. He said that the transitional phase in Sudan is led by a broad coalition with a specific agenda to complete the transition process and achieve peace and stability in the country, leading to free elections. Hamdok called on the US administration to separate between the process of removing Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism and the issue of normalization with Israel.
