The Palestinian National Council informed the parliaments and federations of the world about what it described as the crime of ethnic cleansing committed by the Israeli forces, represented by the demolition of the “Hamsa Al-Fawqa” community in the occupied Palestinian Jordan Valley. In identical letters sent by the president of the PNC, Salim al-Zanoun to those parliaments and unions, the Council made clear that the demolitions carried out by the IOF is a strategy to create an atmosphere designed to force Palestinians to flee from their homes and residential areas and give them to settlers. In its letters to the parliaments, the Council called for rejecting and condemning these operations, and put an end to the policy of demolishing Palestinian homes, and for finding a direct and open way for Palestinians to be able to build in Area C of the occupied West Bank. The Council also called on parliaments to turn to their governments to provide urgent shelters for the people of Hamsa, calling on them to abide by their legal and international responsibilities and work to oblige Israel to shoulder its international responsibilities.
