The UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People hosted Matthias Schmale, the UNRWA director of operations in Gaza, at virtual conversation – the event was livestreamed on the committee Facebook page- to talk about the covid-19 pandemic in Gaza and how to mitigate its impact on Palestine refugees. The spokesman at the conversation, which was entitled: “the covid-19 pandemic in Gaza and ways to mitigate its impact on Palestine refugees”, said that although Gaza appears to have contained the pandemic, and the health emergency is still in place, which requires significant external support to prevent it from getting out of control.
