The Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO) voted against the draft resolution submitted by the Israeli occupation state, to cancel the item on the agenda of the World Health Organization concerned with health conditions in the land of the occupied Palestinian territories and the occupied Syrian Golan. 15 countries voted against the resolution, while 7 countries voted in favour of it, and 9 countries abstained. The Executive Council session covered interventions from several countries, including the intervention of the permanent representative of Palestine, who addressed the obstacles that the occupying power places on the movement and transportation of patients, targeting ambulances and medical personnel, attacking hospitals, targeting people with disabilities and killing them. The session also dealt with the issue of Palestinian prisoners, some of whom suffer from various diseases, including 50 elderly people, the policy of medical negligence and the failure to provide health supplies, in addition to the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.
