Al-Haq sent an urgent appeal to the United Nations Special Procedures Unit regarding the escalating settler violence in Yitzhar against the Palestinians and their property. In a speech addressed to five UN special rapporteurs, including the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territory occupied since 1967, Michael Link, the flash appeal presented more than ten selected cases of settler violence in Yitzhar, which, according to Haq, represent Israel’s evasion to institutional and systematic accountability.
