A paper presented by Al-Haq to the European Union confirmed that the membership of Haim Bibas, a Mayor of a settlement bloc, in the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly is a violation of the clear European position on the occupation in the Palestinian territories. The paper reminded the European Union of its official position rejecting settlement enterprise and emphasized that this settlement blocks (led by Haim Bibas) is an illegal gathering, and therefore the Union must expel him from the assembly.
