Al-Haq has written to An Taoiseach Micheál Martin, the leader of the Government
of Ireland, urging support for the control of economic activities (Occupied                                                          Territories) bill and the recognition of the State of Palestine, after he confirmed in
the Irish Parliament that the Occupied Territories Bill is not in compliance with
Ireland’s obligations under European Union law. Al-Haq assured the Taoiseach
that the prohibition of the importation and sale of settlement produce is not only in
full conformity with EU law and policy, but would moreover bring Ireland into
