Al-Haq Foundation, which has consultative status in the United Nations, presented its recommendations to the Committee on the Rights of the Child regarding the first review of the State of Palestine, which is a process related to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, during which states present their most important achievements and actions to implement the provisions of the agreement.
The most prominent recommendations made by the Foundation were: reforming the Palestinian political system and calling for general elections, reforming and consolidating the judiciary (West Bank and Gaza), institutionalizing and activating the role of a committee to harmonize legislation with international agreements, combating arbitrary detention of children, combating domestic and community violence against children, taking into consideration the rights of people with disabilities, and lifting the blockade and sanctions imposed on the Gaza Strip.
