Al Mezan Center For Human Rights called on the international community to put an end to the violations by the occupation authorities against the rights of Palestinian detainees. The center emphasized on the health risks posed on Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, due to the neglect of the Israeli occupation to provide preventive measures against the pandemic, in a violation to its obligation as an occupying power under the international humanitarian and human rights laws. The center also called upon the international community to shoulder its legal and ethical responsibilities towards Palestinian detainees, to compel the occupying power to respect the provisions of international law, and to take all measures to protect Palestinian detainees and respect their rights; in particular their right to a fair trial and to an adequate treatment.
