The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) commemorated the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which the United Nations General Assembly called in 1977 to observe on November 29 of each year. On this occasion, ALECSO stressed that the international community is required to assume its moral, legal, and humanitarian responsibilities towards the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate and inalienable rights and recover all their occupied lands. ALECSO renewed its full support for the Palestinian people in defending their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the right to establish their independent state on their land. In this context, ALECSO affirmed that it will strengthen its efforts at all levels to support the State of Palestine in the fields of education, culture, and science and continue to work with UNESCO to preserve Palestinian heritage, register it in the world heritage, and counter the Israeli authorities’ attacks on its monuments.
