The Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Ibrahim Khreishi, sent letters to the High Commissioner for Human Rights Bachelet, the Special Rapporteur on the state of human rights in Palestine, Michael Link, and the Special Rapporteur on the extrajudicial execution of Maurice Tedpol about the crime of executing young Palestinian Osama Mansour and wounding his wife. Ambassador Khreishi called on UN officials, in their capacity and through their UN mandates, to condemn this crime and work to end targeting Palestinian civilians and the need to hold those responsible for this crime accountable. In his letters, Khreishi called for urgent action to protect human rights to save the prospects for a just peace based on the two-state solution, and to preserve the international order.
