Algeria, Syria, Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, Qatar and Morocco condemned the continued Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the deadly attacks against civilians in the Gaza Strip. They also condemned Israel’s policy of ethnic cleansing of the indigenous population of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, which amounts to a crime against humanity and is a flagrant violation of international norms, laws and covenants. Moreover, the countries considered Israel’s continued violations to be undermining the two-state solution. They also called on the United Nations, the Security Council and human rights organizations to take immediate and urgent action to stop these violations, put an end to the occupation and hold Israel accountable for its crimes.
