The member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Dr. Hanan Ashrawi has condemned in her statement what she described as Israel’s criminal practices and its deliberate violations in occupied Jerusalem along with its organized terrorism against the Palestinian people and it’s systematic targeting of Jerusalem’s leaders and national institutions with the aim of intimidating. Ashrawi has also pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces have arrested the governor of Jerusalem Adnan Ghaith, after raiding his house in the town of Silwan.

Ashrawi has also added that the governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith has been arrested for more than 17 times since he assumed the office of the Jerusalem governor in addition to the frequent arrest of the Minister of Jerusalem. Ashrawi has also noted that the occupation forces have demolished 62 buildings in the occupied Jerusalem in the first half of this year, in addition to the dozens of homes that were self-demolished by their owners for fear of being fined with exorbitant sums.

Ashrawi has urged the International Criminal Court to open a criminal investigation against Israel on charges of war crimes committed against the Palestinian people. To check the news, click here
