Authors Petr Pavlík and Radka Havlová publish an article entitled: “In search of the ‘second-best solution’ to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict”. This article presents an alternative approach to resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, as it considers that the one-state solution is generally unacceptable to both Israel and the Palestinians and that the two-state solution has not provided any success so far, the authors suggest that a possible Palestinian state extends from the Gaza Strip to adjacent parts of the Sinai Peninsula for which Egypt would receive either financial or territorial compensation by the extension of its territory westwards to areas currently administered by Libya.
