Azzam Al-Ahmad, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, considered that what happened in the Security Council is very important, in terms of the content of the conference that President Mahmoud Abbas called for. Al-Ahmad affirmed that the UN Security Council’s discussion of holding an international peace conference under the umbrella of the UN, with the participation of permanent members and the Quartet, confirms the international community’s adherence to international legitimacy resolutions and UN resolutions, starting with Resolution 181 and passing through 338 and 242, the latest of which is 2334.
