Bahrain announced that it would allow flights between the UAE and Israel to cross its airspace, in a step that followed an agreement to normalize relations between Israel and Abu Dhabi, and Saudi Arabia’s decision to open its airspace for the same flights. A source in the Ministry of Communications for Civil Aviation Affairs in Bahrain said: “Approval has been granted to an Emirates Airlines request” regarding the desire to allow crossing the Kingdom’s airspace for flights to and from the UAE to all countries, which means that Israel is one of those countries.
