International legal experts Richard Falk, John Dugard & Michael Lynk launch their new book on protecting human rights in occupied Palestine
Serving for 20 years consecutively in Occupied Palestine, the former UN Special Rapporteurs on Palestine decided to record their account in the first book of its kind, comprehensively examining the UN efforts to protect Palestinian human rights.
The joint book of Prof. John Dugard, Prof. Richard Falk, and Prof. Michael Lynk breaks new ground in studies by the UN in several respects. The book highlights both the positive role played by the UN in a politically controversial area and its blockage by geopolitical forces preventing it from securing the implementation of international law.
The book written by the former three special rapporteurs and forwarded by the current one, Dr. Francesca Albanese -all coming from different backgrounds and political outlooks- came to a unanimous consensus confirming the routine and various Israeli violations of Palestinian basic rights.
Due to the unique nature and high quality of this joint effort and the importance of its findings, Al Quds University Human Rights Clinic and Law for Palestine are inviting you to attend the launch of: ‘Protecting Human Rights in Occupied Palestine: Working Through the United Nations.’
