Law for Palestine is opening the door for internship applications to the position of Donor Relations Assistant.
Background: Law for Palestine.
Law for Palestine (L4P) is a voluntary, non-profit organization registered in the United Kingdom and Sweden. It aims to build and create a network of legal professionals interested in Palestine from around the world, and to provide enriched and objective legal content on Palestine.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing funding proposals for fund programs and donors.
- Maintaining donor relationship management database, including updating donor records, compiling information and data entry.
- Processing incoming gifts and ensure that gifts are accurately recorded and thanked.
- Tracking pledges and monthly gifts to ensure on-time payment.
- Assisting with individual donor management including acknowledgement letters, thank you cards, donor appreciation gifts, and other communications via phone and email.
- Coordinating logistics for fundraising events, donor cultivation events, and annual fundraisers.
- Conducting research on donor prospects and other acquisition strategies to expand donor base.
- Managing donors’ database.
Qualifications:
Required
- English Language proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized and acute attention to detail
- Fast learner
- Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
- Analytical and comfortable working with databases
- Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Solid computer literacy and skill in using the internet for research
- Commitment to the mission of L4P
Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Donor Relations, International Relations or related fields.
- Previous experience in the non-profit field, preferably in fundraising.
- Proficiency in Arabic, or any of European countries languages.
Successful Candidates:
- Must be willing to work remotely on a 1-year volunteer contract (Except in the case of having fund during the contract period, then offering a salary/award will be considered);
- Will work partly for 15-20 hours per week.
- Must sign a confidentiality agreement with the L4P.
