Hattab is the former Dean of the Faculty of Law at An-Najah National University (Nablus). He is an Assistant Professor at An-Najah University and a Legal Consultant at Arden Solicitors Advocates in London-UK. He is the founder of a new Palestinian legal database “MAQAM”. Hattab is a member of the British Society of Legal Scholars. His research, practice, and teaching involve Human Rights & Democracy, Contract and Employment Law. Hattab was a member of the National Committee for the Development of Justice Sector in Palestine which was formed by a Presidential Ordinance. Hattab worked as a lecturer at the School of Law, University of Portsmouth, UK. This teaching experience built on the practical experience he had obtained in London while working as a lawyer for over a decade in two legal firms. Hattab has published legal articles in international academic journals, and he writes frequently on different topics, including law and politics, democracy, gender and human rights issues.
