The European Coordination of Committees and Associations for Palestine (ECCP) issued a press release in which it addressed what it described as the catastrophic effects of the Gaza siege. The European Union must act immediately to stop this crime, ECCP said. In the context of the deterioration of the situation due to the “Covid-19” epidemic in the Gaza Strip, the European Coordination of Committees and Associations for Palestine called on the European Union to impose sanctions against Israel as long as it continues in its serious violations of international law and the siege of Gaza is not lifted. ِِMoreover, ECCP called the EU for preparing a health intervention plan for Gaza with the opening of a dedicated line of funding and a mechanism to provide and removing the constraints placed on the disbursement of funds to Palestinian NGOs.
