The European Coordination of Committees and Associations for Palestine (ECCP) published the report “Legal Briefing on the Euro-Asia Interconnector”  on a project aiming to link electricity grids in Israel, Cyprus, and Greece via the world’s longest submarine power cable, where the Israeli grids will integrate illegal settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and thus “implicating Europe in Israeli war crimes.” The briefing assesses whether and how the EU and the European States, with their support to the EuroAsia Interconnector, violate their legal obligations in connection with Israel’s illegal settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT).
