The Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Dr. Saeb Erekat, denounced the ongoing US incitement against President Mahmoud Abbas and members of the Palestinian leadership. Erekat said that the member of the US House of Representatives’ call, Doug Lamborn,  to impose sanctions on President Abbas and the Palestinian leadership comes to punish the victim for rejecting the Trump-Netanyahu plan, describing it as bullying and extortion. Erekat clarified that Israel will shoulder the full responsibility of the occupied territories in the event of implementing the annexation plan, stressing that the authority was established to transfer the Palestinian people from occupation to independence, not a tool for the continuation of the occupation.
