Saeb Erekat, the Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization has stated that Palestine and Jerusalem are more important than Fatah, Hamas, and all Palestinian factions, stressing that there is no justification for the continuation of the Palestinian division that Trump administration and Israel are taking it as a loophole to implement their plans.
Erekat has also pointed out that what is currently missing in Palestine is ending the internal division and promoting national unity and political partnership. Erekat has also revealed that Israel will not allow a two-state solution, nor will it accept a single state with equal rights.
Erekat has also explained that the Palestinian leadership has intensified its work with the International Criminal Court in order to prevent the recurrence of Israeli crimes and to protect the Palestinian people. He believed that Israel and Washington want the Palestinian Authority’s mission to be a servant and an instrument to prolong the occupation.
