The Higher Presidential Committee of Churches Affairs  (HCC) called on the international community to save the holy neighbourhoods from the threat of Israeli ethnic cleansing. The chairman of the committee, Ramzi Khoury, stressed that the occupation is carrying out vicious cleansing schemes in partnership with the Israeli courts that legitimize settlements, as in what is happening in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. The committee emphasized that there is a threat to dozens of citizens’ homes due to the judicial decisions by the occupation courts to expand settlements in several cities and neighbourhoods. The Committee further called on the international community to act urgently, put an end to the violations of the Israeli occupation, bring an end to settler colonialism and hold the occupation accountable for the daily crimes it commits against the Palestinian people.  For further details, click here
