In 2015, the European Commission has adopted regulations barring the labeling of products from areas it considers occupied by Israel as made in Israel, a decision it described as driven by a desire to give shoppers accurate information about product provenance. During an inspection on July 10, 2020, the Dutch government inspectors have said that they would release a fine for the “Israel Products” Center that runs by the “Christians of Israel” group, for selling wine from the West Bank city of Hebron, as it was made in Israel. The inspector also has said that this was because the store has violated the labeling requirements set by the Dutch Food Safety and Consumer Products Authority. To check the news, click here
