The Independent Commission for Human Rights issued its annual report No. 25, which covers the human rights situation in Palestine (the West Bank and Gaza Strip), starting from January 1 – December 31, 2019. The report includes 4 chapters covering the practices of the occupation, the Palestinian Authority, and Hamas authorities. The report’s four chapters cover the following headings: the policies and violations of the Israeli occupation and their impact on the ability of the State of Palestine to guarantee human rights during the year 2019, and the variable in civil and political rights (which deals with violations of the right to life, freedom from torture, freedom of movement, opinion, and expression, peaceful assembly, the formation of associations, assumption of public office, protection of human rights defenders), and the variable in economic, social and cultural rights (which includes violations of the rights to work, health, and education), and eventually, evaluation of the dealings of official institutions with the commission regarding complaints.
