The International Conference on “Enhancing Criminal Accountability for War Crimes and Grave Violations .. Palestine as a Model” concluded its work, which spanned over the course of 22 and 23 March 2021, in Egypt. About 70 participants from the political elite, Arab, Palestinian and international judges and experts in international and criminal law, and official figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFAE) participated in the conference. In its final statement, participants of the conference included a set of recommendations, most notably was the formation of a committee to follow up on the investigations of the ICC. In addition to establishing an international coalition to financially support the Court, provide expertise, and work to avoid any external pressure that would undermine the work of the Court.
