The Defense Minister of Israel, Naftali Bennett, issued a decision banning the entry of Palestinian crops into the Israeli market. This decision led to a sharp drop in the value of the crops (to lose 50% of their value), which seriously affected Palestinian farmers.
However, many believe that Israel will be the only loser as a result of this decision since the imports to the Palestinian market from the Israeli market amount to approximately 6 times the exports, which means that the principle of reciprocity will be enough to make Israel regret this decision.
