The Israeli Occupation’s Central Court in Jerusalem postponed taking a decision on the case of displacing families in Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in Silwan, South of al-Aqsa Mosque. Fakhri Abu Diab, the head of the Committee for the Defense of Silwan’s Lands and Real Estate said the recent wave of protests in solidarity with Palestinians in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood prevented the court from issuing a decision in favor of settlers. He also added that the eviction decision is a political decision not a legal one, reaffirming that the people who show solidarity with those families will stay in Batn al-Hawa to support them.
