Jadaliyya Center held a panel discussion on the book “Palestinian refugees in international law,” where the workshop discussed the challenges and opportunities that international law provides for the conditions of Palestinian refugees. The book’s authors included Francesca Albanese, a human rights attorney and researcher at Georgetown University’s Institute for the Study of International Migration, and recently worked in the UNRWA Office of Legal Affairs, and Lex Tuckenberg, a professor of international law, former UNRWA general counsel and director of operations. Participating in the open discussion were Ardi Imseis, a professor of law and member of the UN Human Rights Council’s Group of Eminent International and Regional Experts on Yemen, and Michael Link, Michael Lynk, professor of law and Special Rapporteur for the human rights situation in the OPT.
