Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi says that Israel must choose between the occupation and comprehensive regional peace that constitutes an end to the occupation and a two-state solution that embodies an independent, viable, sovereign Palestinian state with its capital occupied Jerusalem on the border of 1967, or the continuation of the conflict, which is deepened by its violations of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and its illegal steps that undermine all chances for achieving peace.
Safadi added:“ The impact of the agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel to normalize relations on efforts to make peace will be linked to what Israel will do. Suppose Israel deals with it as an incentive to end its occupation and fulfill the Palestinian people’s right to freedom and a viable independent state with occupied Jerusalem as its capital on the lines of June 4, 1967. In that case, the region will advance towards achieving a just peace. But if Israel does not do so, the conflict will deepen, which will explode as a threat to the security of the entire region”.
