The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the attacks of the Israeli occupation police against Jerusalemites at Damascus Gate in occupied Jerusalem, and the continued attacks in al-Aqsa Mosque compound. The Ministry warned against the implications of the provocative actions that lead to escalation, tension, violence, and the consequences of the so-called proactive ‘Flag March’ that the extremists are planning to hold on Tuesday (June 15, 2021) in the Old City of Jerusalem. Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Daifallah al-Fayez called on the Israeli authorities to halt the provocative attacks and steps in Jerusalem and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories, and to respect the legal and historical status quo in the City of Jerusalem.
