The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (MOFAE) condemned the so-called ‘city center’ project, the Israeli occupation intended to implement in Jerusalem. The Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Daif-Allah al-Fayez, said “any unilateral move that would change the status of Jerusalem/al-Quds or its historical sites or demographic makeup is rejected and is against international laws.” Al-Fayez called on Israel, the occupying power, to abide by its obligations under international law that considers East Jerusalem an occupied territory since 1967, and respect the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy.
