The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the continuity of Israeli violations in Al-Aqsa Mosque, including attacks on employees of the Jerusalem Endowments Department and the affairs of the Jordanian Al-Aqsa Mosque. Ambassador Difallah al-Fayez condemned the occupation’s actions, describing them as unacceptable and a provocation to the feelings of Muslims – as a result of their violation of the Mosque’s religious and historical sanctity. Al-Fayez called on the Israeli authorities to abide by their obligations as an occupying power in East Jerusalem and in accordance with international law, and to respect the sanctity of the mosque, the status quo, and Jordan’s authority to manage the Jerusalem endowments and the affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
