Background: Law for Palestine.
Law for Palestine (L4P) is a voluntary, nonprofit organization registered in the United Kingdom. It aims to build and create a network of legal professionals interested in Palestine from around the world, and to provide enriched and objective Palestinian legal content.
The Media Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Uploading content of the legal scene, articles, announcements, and other materials to the organization’s website and social media accounts.
- Preparing the weekly newsletter.
- Turning the organization’s publications into social media-friendly publications, such as videos and info-graphs.
- Contributing to the creative input of the materials.
- ‘Driving the desk’ for some pre-recorded or live programs.
- Building the image of the organization.
- Increasing the reach of the organization on the web and social media.
- Resolving issues and helping build strong relationships with media outlets.
Required Experience:
A successful candidate shall have the following experience:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, media studies, or related fields.
- Fluent in Arabic and English both written and oral.
- Excellent knowledge of administrating websites and blogs.
- Analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Successful Candidates:
- Must be willing to work remotely with Law For Palestine organization on a 1-year volunteer contract (with the possibility of extension);
- Will work partly for 15-20 hours per week.
