The Negotiations Affairs Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization issued a report on the Palestinian prisoners in the occupation prisons, entitled: “Palestine’s Prisoners between the Threat of COVID-19 and Israel’s Arbitrary Policies”. The report attacked Israeli policies, neglecting the prisoners and violating their rights such as the right to a decent life, the right to freedom from torture, and the right to health. It also highlighted Israel’s neglecting of the prisoners in light of the Corona crisis.

This report which is underpinned by international laws that protect the rights of prisoners provided a legal framework for the fact that Israel is a colonial regime and its establishment of the apartheid regime. Moreover, It warned that Trump’s peace plan neglected the prisoners in a circumvent way – by setting impossible conditions – and leaving it at the mercy of the occupation authorities.
