This weekly report reviews the legal dynamics of the Palestine question, and everything related to international law and Palestine. The report includes an account of the most important publications, activities and conferences related to Palestine at the local, regional, international levels. The report further covers decisions, decrees, and judicial orders affecting the Palestinian cause, whether made at the official, academic or public levels. The report aims to be a reference for monitoring, documenting and archiving the latest human rights developments related to Palestine, and to present them to individuals, researchers, study centers, and official, academic and legal institutions concerned.

Judicial decrees, decisions, positions, and orders issued by official Palestinian bodies
- The Commission of Detainees Affairs holds the Israeli authority full responsibility for the lives of hunger-striking detainees Raed Rayan and Kalil Awawdeh, who are rejecting their administrative detention.(July 17, 2022). For further details, click here
- The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns of exploiting the Israeli election campaign to encourage building and expanding of the illegal settelemnts.(July 17, 2022). For more details, click here

- The Commission of Detainees Affairs issues a warning about the treatment of sick detainees in occupation jails, which it deems as unethical, cruel, and a direct threat to their lives. (July 21, 2022). For further details, click here
Judicial decrees, decisions, positions, and orders issued by official Israeli bodies
- Israel’s Defense Minister has cautioned Israelis not to join in a July 20th initiative aimed at establishing three illegal settlement outposts in the West Bank. (July 19, 2022). For further details, click here
- The Israeli Supreme Court rejected the request of the Interior Minister to revoke the citizenship of Alaa Zayoud on the grounds of offenses that constitute a “breach of loyalty.” This comes after Adalah – The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel and the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) filed an appeal of the Haifa District Court’s 2016 decision convicting him of “attempted murder.” (July 21, 2022). - Israeli Police removed all settler activists from illegal outposts, ending a massive campaign. A spokesperson for the organization said the movement’s leaders were now navigating when to launch the next effort to create new illegal outposts.(July 22, 2022). For further details, click here
- Israel’s Supreme Court has ruled that the state can revoke the citizenship of people who carry out actions that constitute a breach of loyalty against the state, including terrorism, espionage, or treason.(July 22, 2022). For further details, click here

- 22 members of the US Congress urge US Secretary of State Blinken to reject the Israeli government’s designations of six Palestinian NGOs as “terrorist” organizations and ask him to call on the Israeli government to reverse this decision. (July 19, 2022). For further details, click here
- The European Union expresses concern at reports of Israeli settlers’ plans to establish several new outposts in the occupied West Bank. (July 19, 2022). For further details, click here
- The President of the United Nations General Assembly stated at a conference on “Palestinian youth in East Jerusalem under occupation” that the proliferation of illegal settlements on Palestinian land prevents peace and reconciliation. He also claimed that the situation in East Jerusalem contributes to tension and resentment by denying Palestinians rights to their land and sustaining the long cycle of violence. (July 20, 2022). - The construction of Jewish settlements and the eviction of Palestinian families from their homes are just two examples of Israel’s unilateral acts in the occupied West Bank that French President Macron emphasises must stop since they are violations of international law. - The United Nations Economic and Social Council adopts two resolutions in favor of Palestine. The first is the opening of border crossings, while the second stresses the need to protect the civilian population in accordance with international humanitarian law. (July 23, 2022). Publications of Human Rights NGOs
- 137 organizations led by the Samidoun Network issued a collective statement that the “Jerusalem Declaration” signed by US President Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Bennett reveals the “fundamental bankruptcy of the imperialist and Zionist systems.” In the statement they accuse Israel and the United States of launching a unilateral colonial war and call for the formation of a popular coalition that rejects settler colonialism and stands against systems of domination. - Amnesty International calls on Israeli authorities to immediately halt the forced displacement of more than 1,000 Palestinian residents of Masafer Yatta and recognize the housing rights of Palestinian Bedouins in the Negev. (July 19, 2022). For further details, clickhere
