The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the UN, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, sent three letters to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council for this month (Estonia), and the President of the United Nations General Assembly, about the increase in violent and racist attacks that continue to be carried out by the Israeli occupation forces and extremist settler groups against Palestinian civilians in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem. Mansour called on the Council to assume its responsibilities, stressing the importance of taking concrete measures to implement all its decisions using clear legal tools and mechanisms in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter to ensure accountability and justice.
