The Palestinian Authority’s top Sharia judge, Mahmoud al-Habash, warned against a Judaization scheme in the occupied city of Jerusalem targeting Salah El-Din Street and the northern area surrounding the Old City, which is considered one of the most important cultural and heritage landmarks in the city under the cover of the “structural plan”. Al-Habash stressed that all occupation measures in the city of Jerusalem are null and in violation of international law, especially as they target the religious, cultural, and civilizational identity of the city because it is subject to the occupying power, which is responsible for protecting the landmarks of Jerusalem, including its religious identity, which was confirmed by the UNESCO, the Education, Culture and Science Organization. Al-Habash called on international institutions and the UN to force the occupying state to end its Judaization measures in the city of Jerusalem, and to stop what he described as the ongoing massacre against Jerusalemite heritage and culture, in the implementation of the Judaization plans.
