The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (MOFAE) called on the American administration, the Israeli government, and the countries that have not recognized the State of Palestine yet, including European states, to recognize the State of Palestine immediately, in preparation for the realization of the two-state solution, and to give efforts to revive the peace process and negotiations the credibility they deserve. The Ministry further called on the UN Security Council to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards the violations and crimes of the occupation and settlers, and to take the necessary measures to ensure the enforcement of international law and the application of international legitimacy resolutions related to the Palestinian issue. Foremost of these is Resolution 2334, exerting sufficient pressure on Israel as an occupying power to respect its obligations, especially the ending of occupation and settlements of and on the lands of the State of Palestine.
