The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ dumping of waste into hundreds of dunums of agricultural land east of the al-Shujaiya Neighbourhood in Gaza City by opening rainwater pumps, which led to the destruction of these lands and the infliction of great losses on farmers. The Ministry held the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for that crime and called on the relevant international organizations and institutions to condemn this attack and to take the necessary measures under international law to protect the Palestinians, including farmers and their crops. The Ministry also called on the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to quickly announce the opening of an official investigation into the crimes of the occupation, including its crimes against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
