The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (MOFAE) condemned Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Susiya village in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, while participating in the opening of an alleged archaeological site belonging to one of the settlements built on Palestinian land. The Ministry stated that the visit comes only a few hours after settlers attacked a Palestinian family while on their land in Tawana village in Masafer Yatta. This was made in the context of a systematic policy of occupation, displacement and expulsion of Palestinian citizens from Yatta. The policy hinges on control of Palestinian lands and later allocating them for the benefit of settlements, in a unified policy towards all Palestinian towns and communities across Area C. The Ministry reiterated that this visit only serves as an attempt by Israel to seize Palestinian population centers. For further details, click here
