The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (MOFAE) said that the meetings of UN Security Council are not a deterrent to the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation and settlers against the Palestinians. The ministry added that the international community’s silence on field executions against Palestinians, or simply making condemnation statements, or not implementing UN resolutions, encourage the occupation and settlers to commit more crimes. The ministry called on the UN Security Council to assume its legal and ethical responsibilities toward the occupation crimes, take the necessary actions imposed by the international law, force it to immediately abide by the international law and the international humanitarian law, and provide the international protection to the Palestinians. The Ministry condemned the persistent field executions committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinians, most recently killing the 41-year-old man, Shadi Salim, near Beita, South of Nablus, and killing the 11-year-old boy, Mohammad al-Alami.
