The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (MOFAE) said that the notification of the Israeli occupation authorities to deport the residents of Khirbet Humsa al-Fawqa in the northern valley was “a real test of the remaining credibility of the international community and the Security Council, and in their ability to fulfill their obligations”. The Foreign Ministry considered the demolition and displacement of Humsa al-Fawqa a vivid example of what was stated in the report of “Human Rights Watch” a few days ago about Israel’s discriminatory policies. The Ministry further stressed the requirement for the international community to assume its responsibilities to end this racial discrimination; by taking the necessary measures and penalties against the occupying state to deter it from implementing its settlement plans, and to provide international protection for the Palestinian people, which will eventually enable them to exercise their right to self-determination and to end the occupation.
