The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the Security Council to assume its political, legal and moral responsibilities to stop what it stated is the crimes of the Israeli occupation authorities against Al-Aqsa Mosque. This includes the Israeli excavations in “Al-Buraq Wall Square,” the western wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and near the Mughrabi Gate “Bab al-Magharbeh,” as well as the Silwan region, which is under continuous targeting aimed at displacing and expelling Jerusalemites, whether through house demolitions, the distribution of demolition warnings, or the seizure and levelling of lands. The Ministry considered these acts a continuation of Israeli plans to Judaize Al-Aqsa and its surroundings, and a blatant violation of the related UN resolutions, notably UNESCO decisions. Besides, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the uprooting of olive trees by the occupation authorities and settlers on an almost daily basis. The last of these was the uprooting and theft of 130 olive seedlings in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, and a few days earlier, three thousand olive trees in the town of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit, in a continuous targeting of Palestinian lands, intending to expand the settlement.
